The IFA Berlin event of 2017 was full of action with many major players of the smartphone market launching or announcing their new devices. Almost all the major smartphone producers had their events in IFA in which they unveiled many new smartphones. Like the other smartphone manufacturers, Sony too had an event in the IFA 2017 in which it unveiled the Xperia XZ1, and the Xperia XZ1 Compact, which are believed to be the flagship smartphones of the smartphone giant.
Now, Sony is all set to launch the Xperia XZ1 in India. The smartphone giant is going to have an event on 25th September in New Delhi to launch its flagship smartphones. Sony’s event in New Delhi will provide all the details about the Xperia XZ1’s price and availability in India.
Priced at $699.99 in the US (which is roughly Rs. 45,000), you can expect the Xperia XZ1 to carry a premium price tag when it’s launched in India. As per some reports, it’s believed that the phone might carry a price tag over Rs. 50,gala000, which will make it a competitor for high-end phones, like the Samsung Galaxy S8, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, and many others. Sony had erlier in the IFA event said that the smartphone will come with the newest version of Android – Android Oreo 8.0 out-of -the-box, and it still remains the case to see that if its the same case with its India launch.
Features and specification of Xperia XZ1
The Sony Xperia XZ1 features a 5.2 inch Full HD HDR display with 1080×1920 pixels which is powered by Sony’s Triluminous display and the X-Reality technology configured for the smartphones. These features make the display look crisp and sharp with clearer viewing angles even in direct sunlight. The display is also protected with the new Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Xperia XZ1’s display is not 4K, like the Xperia XZ Premium, but the display is good enough to provide you crisp and clear display.
The high-end smartphone comes with a MotionEye 19-megapixel Exmor RS sensor camera with 3D scanning abilities as its unique selling feature. Additionally, the rear camera is enabled to record slow-motion videos at 960fps, like in the Xperia XZ Premium, and it also supports 5-axis stabilization which makes sure you take great pictures. The front-facing camera of the phone is a 13-megapixel shooter that is aimed for people who like taking selfies.

Xperia XZ1 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor which is paired with 4 gigs of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The phone also allows you to expand the storage through a micro SD card which is an added bonus. It comes with a 2700mAH battery which supports Quick Charge 3.0 and Qnovo Adaptive Charging support which means that the phone can be charged at much faster rates than the others.
The Sony Xperia XZ1 has a power button which has a fingerprint scanner embedded in it, which Sony claims as one of the fastest. It’s water and dust resistant with an IP68 certification. The phone also comes with Hi-Res audio, S-Force surrounds sound, digital noise cancellation, stereo recordings, and Qualcomm’s own aptX audio software.
