One Plus 5 Review: Is it really worth buying?

One Plus 5

If you’re thinking of buying a good phone and you really don’t like iOS much, One Plus 5 is one among the best choices of android phones you’ve got today. May be there are some flaws when it comes to the design of the phone and you may think that it resembles a great deal to the iphone 7. Nevertheless, One Plus phones are called flagship killers for their amazing features and competitive prices when compared to flagship phones that cost a lot more.

One Plus 5’s greatest advantage is its performance because it has the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 SoC (System on Chip) which is an octa-core processor. Another good thing about the phone is it’s camera quality. It has a dual rear camera of 20MP and a front camera of 16MP. So, one thing we know that selfies are going to come off really good in a One Plus 5.

The phone feels great in your hand because it’s light and can be held easily. It’s slimmer at 7.25mm and lighter at 153 grams. But there are chances that it will accidentally slip off from your hands like most of the sleek phones. This problem can be tackled with the help of a good phone cover.

Another good thing about the phone is that it doesn’t over heat even when used for long hours in warm climate. However, it’s difficult to use the phone when your in the sun which is another major drawback other than its dull design.

The 3300mAh battery will make sure that you can use the phone throughout the day and it gets fully charged pretty fast as well. So no worries about being abandoned by your phone when you’re traveling. There are two types of One Plus5; one with 6GB RAM and 64GB memory and the other one with 8GB RAM and 128GB memory. The phone is available in three colors: midnight black, Slate Gray, and Soft Gold.

It runs Android v7.1.1 (Nougat) and has slots for two nano sims. There’s no radio, but who needs radio when you can use your 4G sim? The implementation of Gorilla glass which is a brand of toughened glass will make sure that the glass does not weigh much or gets damaged easily. So you probably don’t need to carry it around covered in multiple layers which is pretty annoying.

Even though it offers really good performance, the audio isn’t that great. The 5.5 inch screen will turn your movies and gaming sessions into great experiences. One Plus5 makes heavy games run smooth and you won’t any loading loops that is a patience killer.

To sum up, One Plus 5 is way ahead in its performance when compared to its predecessors and competitors, only because of its super cool octa-core SoC. Even though the MP of the cameras are much higher than the iPhones, the sensor is not that great. Also, the cameras don’t auto focus. The design which looks like a clone between the designs of One Plus 3 and iPhone7, won’t make you really happy. So, if you’re an android lover, go for it! but if you are open to iOS, try checking out the iPhones, before you buy your One Plus5.
