LG V30 Launched With 6-Inch FullVision Display and Dual Rear Cameras

The launch of LG’s V20 smartphone last year helped LG build a passionate niche of customers because of its powerful creation tools. The smartphone provided the users with unmatched manual control over video recordings, allowing them to adjust everything starting to bit rate to white balance. The phone came with a removable battery that the user can swap with another one when out of battery. Now in 2017, after months of speculations, LG finally has launched its new LG V30 smartphone at the IFA 2017, Berlin event.

The new LG V30 comes with a larger form factor, a powerful platform, and a plethora of new features that could give tough competition to the likes of Samsung Galaxy 8 and the expected iPhone 8. This smartphone comes with Bang & Olufsen audio, MIL-STD 810G ratings for durability, voice recognition, and IP68 water and dust resistance certificate. On top of all these features, the smartphone sports a dual camera setup with f/1.6 aperture, which is a completely unique feature of the phone.

As for the release date, LG V30 will be on sale in South Korea from September 21, and gradually it will come into other markets as well. As far as the price is concerned, LG has still not revealed it for the people and it will be known as soon as the smartphone hits the market. The smartphone is expected to compete against other flagship phones, like Samsung Galaxy 8, iPhone, and Google Pixel.

The newest LG flagship smartphone runs Android 7.1.2 out of the box along with the upgraded UI – UX 6.0+, with Android Oreo, expected to come soon for the device. LG V30 comes with a large 6-inch QHD+ OLED FullVision display which is awesome and provides great display quality. The smartphone is Daydream compatible and is powered by a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC processor with 4GB Ram.

The smartphone is dust and water resistant with IP68 certification and has a fingerprint scanner at the back. Additionally, it also supports facial recognition technology, which is just available for the Samsung Galaxy S8. This means that you can unlock your phone by just looking at it, which is an added layer of security for the phone.

LG V30 has an internal storage of 64GB, while the other variant the LG V30+ comes with the 128GB storage with external microSD card support up to 2TB. LG V30 battery 3300mAh, which supports Quick Charge 3.0. The connectivity options of the smartphone include Wi-Fi, 4G, Bluetooth v5.0 with BLE, USB Type-C 2.0, and NFC. LG V30 comes in various color options including Aurora Black, Cloud Silver, Lavender Violet, and Moroccan Blue.

The camera is the most attractive features of the LG V30. It comes with a dual rear camera setup with a 16-megapixel sensor, which is coupled with an aperture of f/1.6, which is not present in any other smartphone. The other camera present at the rear is a 13-megapixel shooter with f/1.6 aperture that creates focused and sharper images. Both the cameras present in the rear are also stacked with Crystal Clear Lens to make sure that the photos are clearer and the color reproduction is of the highest quality. On the front, the phone has a 5-megapixel wide-angle camera, which might disappoint some people as it could have been more.
